LEGO - Star Wars™ The Razor Crest™ | Set 75331

The LEGO Razor Crest is a difficult set to evaluate. On the one hand, the LEGO team has delivered a truly great design. The Razor Crest is one of the few sets that is really in minifigure scale. The shapes come surprisingly close to the original, the interior is detailed and holds some surprises. Only a foldable landing gear would have been nice for ceiling mounting enthusiasts.

The sticker situation is manageable, only the plaque should have been printed instead. The minifigures are also quite nice for a UCS set.

The building experience, on the other hand, is mixed. The great building techniques are a true pleasure. However, the instructions have far too small building steps for an adult and exciting building experience. This is a shame, especially since we know from the example of Lion Knights' Castle that LEGO can do better.

But what really bothered me are the huge masses of colorful parts that spoil the building fun and are also clearly visible when opening the ship. That is unforgivable and the biggest weakness of the set.

The Razor Crest is expensive, but she is in the typical Star Wars UCS price range.
